A woman, who is a Beauty Consultant, fell on a slippery floor in a department store whilst at work and suffered soft tissue injuries to her right hand and pain to the lower back.
The woman's little finger was bruised and painful for two to three weeks but then fully recovered. However, her back strain was constant and she suffered intense pain for three to four months following the accident.
The woman continued to work with the injuries, however, two months later the pain had become unbearable and she took four weeks off work. The woman received a series of acupuncture and physiotherapy treatments to help her recovery.
Following an out of Court settlement, the woman received £17,550 in compensation for her injuries suffered.
