Compensation Awarded To Elderly Client Injured Due To Poorly Lit Footpath

On the 25th September 2009 our client tripped over a rock which was in the middle of a riverside path, which was poorly lit, at approximately 10.00pm. Our client was 66 at the time of the accident and as a result suffered a fractured dislocation of their nose and associated nasal and facial lacerations.

Our client was very conscious that their nose was crooked and is aware of right sided nasal obstruction which has increased snoring. On recommendations our client underwent surgery and had a surgical procedure to realign their nose.

Our client still has concerns about the appearance of their nose and the scarring.

Liability was admitted in our client’s favour and they received £12,252 compensation.
