Man Suffered Spinal And Knee Injuries
A client based in Chichester suffered a fractured spine and knee injury as a result of an accident when he was riding his bicycle to work.
He initially instructed local solicitors but was dissatisfied with the service when they suggested he should accept contributory negligence for the accident as the Defendant had suggested he was partly responsible for the collision.
He instructed Irwin Mitchell who very quickly investigated liability and obtained a full admission of liability from the Defendant.
Appropriate medical evidence from an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in spinal injuries and a separate expert specialising in knee injuries was obtained and the case settled within 30 months of accident with our client receiving £35,000 in compensation.
The client had been absent from work for 1 year and was paid by his employer with no obligation to repay company sick pay.
