We’re once again supporting MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival 2015 as one of the lead sponsors. Taking place in Sheffield this October, it’s the UK's largest festival of enterprise.
Its centrepiece is a conference being held at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday 22 October, which will have talks from leading entrepreneurs including former JLS star JB Gill, multimillionaire cookery book author Annabel Karmel and Paul Lindley of Ella’s Kitchen fame. They’ll be sharing the secrets of their successes and giving guidance to budding entrepreneurs and those looking to grow existing ventures.
We've also produced an infographic that reveals some key stats about the SME landscape, as well as key issues that small businesses face.
Free Breakfast Seminar – Sheffield City Hall
We’re getting involved by holding our own fringe event, a free breakfast seminar at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday 22 October, focusing on alternative finance solutions for businesses. Beginning at 8am, the debate will feature a panel of industry experts and entrepreneurs talking about the availability of funding for those seeking investment in their business.
- Norman Peterson, Director, Growth Capital Ventures
- Alex McWhirter, Chief Executive, Finance Yorkshire
- Martin Avison, Financial Pulse
- Craig Iley, MD Business banking, Atom Bank
- Andrea Cropley, Partner, Irwin Mitchell
In the video below, Andrea Cropley - who will be on the panel for our breakfast seminar, explains our sponsorship of the MADE festival and we hear from one of our SME clients who reveals how Andrea helped his business through the legal elements of a recent deal.
