Specialist Dental Negligence Lawyers Raise Awareness For Oral Health


National law firm Irwin Mitchell are showing their support for a UK-wide oral health campaign led by the British Dental Health Foundation.

National Smile Month is the UK’s largest and longest running oral health campaign which has been running for over 40 years.

As part of their support, the dental team at Irwin Mitchell will be encouraging their colleagues to take part in fundraising activities throughout June to raise money for the British Dental Health Foundation.

The campaign aims to improve the UK’s oral health and with backing from the British Dental Health Foundation, they hope to raise awareness of the important health issues and improve the millions of people’s oral health throughout the UK.

Key issues which are highlighted in National Smile Month are:

  • Brush your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste;
  • Cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks;
  • Visit your dentist regularly.

National Smile Month runs from 18th May – 18th June this year to help encourage all dental and health professionals, schools, community groups, colleges and workplaces to join the campaign to help educate, motivate and raise awareness about oral health which will improve everyone’s smile.
