Victims Suffered Severe Diarrhoea, Abdominal Pains And Vomiting
Specialist illness lawyers, who have helped hundreds of victims of outbreaks in the UK and abroad to gain justice, have been asked to investigate gastric symptoms suffered by a group of young people on an expedition in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The mother of one of the schoolchildren has informed lawyers at Irwin Mitchell that most children on the trip have reported falling ill, with many suffering from symptoms such as severe diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal pains.
She said at least one of the victims was hospitalised for treatment during their time in Morocco and continued to suffer from the effects of the illness after their return.
Expert Opinion
We have been contacted by a person who has been affected by this alleged outbreak. The illness described to us is very concerning, and it is particularly worrying that a number of children may have been affected.
“We have seen a number of instances where illness continues to affect victims long after they return from their trips abroad. Such problems can often lead to the development of long-term health conditions from which sufferers may never fully recover. “ Amandeep Dhillon - Partner
