Pedestrian Struck By Car Receives Compensation

Our client was in the process of crossing the road when he was struck by a car.  As he fell backwards the car’s wing mirror struck him on his right side causing him to fall to the floor, striking his right shoulder, right wrist and right forearm.  He also wrenched his back.
Soft tissue injuries were sustained and he had trouble lifting and bending.  DIY, painting, gardening and shopping aggravated his back and forearm pain.  He required assistance from his wife for a week following the accident.
Our client had to cease keeping fit using a treadmill for 12 months following the accident.  He has undergone physiotherapy treatment, suffered flashbacks and was required to take two days off work.
The other party admitted liability and our client received £5,800.00 in an out of Court settlement.
