Our client was injured when she was in the back of a taxi and the driver suddenly stopped. A vehicle behind them ran into the back of the taxi.
Immediately following the accident our client was very shaken but unaware of her injury. She developed pain in her neck and right hip, radiating to her right shoulder. She was given strong painkillers for the ongoing neck and shoulder pain. She also underwent a course of physiotherapy treatment and was then referred to an Orthopaedic Clinic and subsequently had to have a MRI scan.
Our client underwent surgery and she was in a sling for four weeks followed by further physiotherapy.
Following the accident our client was required to take one day off work and six weeks following surgery.
She was awarded £12,000.00 in an out of Court settlement.
