Asbestos Related Disease Compensation Claims
Asbestos compensation claims
As many as 1 in 100 men over the age of 40 in this country will develop a malignant asbestos related disease, as well as an increasing number of women. The most prevalent asbestos related disease is benign pleural disease however. We represent clients who have made an asbestos claim for mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, pleural thickening and pleural plaques.

3rd Action Mesothelioma Day
The 27th of February 2008 saw the 3rd Action Mesothelioma Day, where solicitors (from each of our offices) attended events throughout the UK, to raise awareness of this disease, and more poignantly, to remember both past and present clients.

Asbestos exposure leading to illness
Most people who develop an asbestos related illness have come into contact with asbestos at work. Until only recently, asbestos was used in virtually every trade and industry and is still present in many buildings today. Some people who develop mesothelioma may not be able to recall working with the material, but may have been exposed to asbestos dust by other means, such as washing dust covered overalls, or living close to a place where it was used.
Specialist asbestos related diseases solicitors
Asbestos can cause several different kinds of disease, such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, pleural thickening, and pleural plaques. These diseases can develop many years after being exposed to asbestos. Of course, this can mean it's difficult to remember the source, but you should seek our advice even if you don't know who is responsible. There are alternatives to claiming against previous employers, for example the government can award 'no fault' compensation payments for your asbestos claim, even if the employer is no longer in existence.
We also assist relatives of those who have already died as a result of an asbestos related disease, even where the link has only been made after death.
From the moment you contact us, you can rely on our sensitivity, understanding and support.

Make your asbestos claim as soon as possible
Your health is a priority, so don't put off seeking medical advice if you suspect you have been affected by asbestos.
Time limits apply, so make sure you also seek our advice as soon as you are able. The longer you leave your claim, the more difficult it can be to pursue.
