Workshops Will Teach Techniques To Deal With Tinnitus
Irwin Mitchell has teamed up with the Birmingham & District Tinnitus Group to create an event on September 27th where sufferers of the condition can gather and learn new techniques for dealing with their symptoms. The Calm Day, which will take place at the Birmingham offices of Irwin Mitchell on Temple Street in the City Centre, aims to help sufferers change the way they think and feel about tinnitus.
Tinnitus is a condition that leaves victims hearing noises in their ears of head when there is no external sound. It often presents as constant background noise such as ringing, humming, buzzing or hissing. The condition can be extremely frustrating for sufferers and their family and friends.
There are a number of causes of tinnitus, but one of the most common is exposure to loud noises over a prolonged period during employment.
A programme of events has been outlined for the day, which will run between 10am and 3:30pm, including a mindfulness session run by Karen Hall, an experienced teacher of the technique.
