Irwin Mitchell are hosting an evening seminar, exploring the issues around the Children and Families Act 2014.
This seminar will take place from 5:00pm and conclude at 8:00pm

Speaking at the seminar will be:
Polly Sweeney, Associate Solicitor, Irwin Mitchell LLP - Polly will provide an overview of Part III of the Act which contains the SEN and disability provisions and will focus on the transitional arrangements taking effect from 1 September 2014
Steve Broach, Barrister, Monckton Chambers – Steve will focus on the interface between Part III of the Act and the existing law in relation to social care and health provision for disabled children. Steve will address in particular the thorny question of how the new Act fits with the duty to provide social care services under the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970
Jane Elliott-Kelly, Barrister, Doughty Street Chambers - Jane will deal with some of the practical issues in appealing against decisions under the new Act.
