What is Operation Pianora?
Operation Pianora was set up by Wiltshire Police after Army recruits alleged they were sexually and physically abused during medical examinations.
Since its start, the force has been contacted by people reporting incidents from the 1970s up to 2016.
Incidents have been reported by former and current military personnel. They have also received reports from people who didn’t join the forces after their medical examination.
Wiltshire Police have confirmed the investigation has now been extended to include incidents in the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.
