After leaving Sixth Form, I worked as a waitress for three and a half years. I absolutely loved having a job and an income but after a while I realised hospitality wasn’t for me, so I began to seek a career, not just a job.
The idea of an apprenticeship had always intrigued me. I was inspired by the prospect of earning while learning, so I decided to find one that interested me.
I’d always been interested in Law, which narrowed my search down to the legal sector.
Working At Irwin Mitchell
I soon found the Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors. I applied for it, and was accepted onto their apprenticeship.
After spending so much time out of education I was ready and excited to start learning again. My apprenticeship keeps me busy and I’m constantly learning new things.
My main duties are clerical work, such as filing and organising documents, and booking travel.
When the Apprenticeship ends I wish to continue working at Irwin Mitchell using the skills I’ve learned to hopefully start a successful career. It’s a great company to work for!
