Sally Burton

Solicitor

Biography

I qualified as a solicitor in July 2018. Prior to this I spent 5 years in medical negligence and serious injury. I'm involved in cases from start to end supporting my clients and helping them get some closure.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

I feel Law is an integral part of our daily lives and while studying I developed a passion for it. During my work experience I dealt with business and corporate matters but felt I wanted a more personal interaction with my clients. Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, I wanted to make a positive difference in people lives so choosing to specialise in medical negligence and serious injury was a natural fit.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

The most rewarding aspect of my job is getting closure for clients whether it's compensation, answers, or an admission of fault. To know that I could help in that process is what drives me to go to work in the morning.

What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?

I've only been at Irwin Mitchell for a few months but there is a big focus on its employees which makes it a great place to work. Our people go the extra mile for our clients and we're involved in a lot of charitable events that support issues that affect our clients which I enjoy.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

I can usually be found exploring Manchester’s amazing food and drink scene or planning my next holiday.
