Martin is dual qualified in Scotland and England, so can offer a genuine “one-stop shop” to clients who wish to develop, invest or refinance property on either side (or both sides) of the border. He has considerable experience in all real estate transactions, but has a particular focus on development and cross-border finance projects.

Recent Highlights:

  • Acting for Barratt West Midlands in the acquisition of a former latex products factory at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, for a market / affordable housing development of approximately 150 units.
  • Acting for a national housebuilder / developer in the politically sensitive acquisition, regeneration and development of a former weapons testing centre, for mixed use scheme in the West of Scotland.
  • Acting for a hotel developer in the £37m acquisition, forward fund and sale of a large regeneration hotel scheme in Central Manchester.
  • Acting for Staffordshire University in the disposal of its main Stafford campus to a Chinese investor bank.
  • Acting for Denbighshire County Council in relation to the regeneration and joint venture development of Rhyl Seafront.
  • Acting for Omni Developments Limited, in relation to the development of a mixed use scheme (including retail, student and private housing) in Edinburgh.
  • Acting in the £250m acquisition of a portfolio of shopping centres.
