John Darwin

Senior Associate

I have over 25 years' experience in handling personal injury litigation - during that time I have represented both Claimants and Defendants. Through that breadth of experience I have considerable knowledge of both sides of a case, and am well positioned to advise a client on the merits and risks of pursuing or defending a claim.

While most of my clients are in the UK, I do also take represent clients overseas who have had the misfortune of being injured in the UK, as well taking on cases for UK citizens abroad. These often include cross-border claims with multi-jurisdictional issues.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

Originally I intended to qualify as an engineer - however with the downturn of so much industry in my home area in the 1980s I felt I had to change direction.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

When a client comes back to you with another new case, you know they were happy the first time round.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

Family, football (mostly watching these days), running, and squash.
