Biography
I am a Senior Associate solicitor in the Medical Negligence team in Sheffield. I've worked for Irwin Mitchell since 2005.
I act exclusively for clients in clinical negligence claims against NHS Trusts, GPs and private practitioners. My caseload includes spinal injuries, including delayed diagnosis of cauda equina and cases resulting in limb amputations.
I have a particular interest in representing children who have serious injuries sustained during or shortly after birth and who require lifelong private care, equipment and rehabilitation.
Testimonials
'Patient, thorough, and unfazed by the complexities of a case' - Legal 500
What inspired you to get into law?
I liked the idea of a career that combines helping people through a difficult time in their lives with the intellectual challenge of analysing evidence and navigating an ever evolving legal system.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Achieving the best outcomes for my clients. Sometimes this means obtaining the maximum amount of compensation to help a client access rehabilitation. Other times it simply means getting some answers or perhaps an apology or reassurance that medical mistakes won’t be repeated.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Working with a fantastic team of innovative and experienced lawyers.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy running, yoga, cycling in the Peak District and spending as much time as I can on the North Wales coast with my husband and two children.
