I specialise in all aspects of family law including divorce, nullity and civil partnership dissolution.
I advise clients on the financial aspects arising as a result of their separation.
For couples who intend to cohabit, I advise on the trust issues that can arise when purchasing a property and the preparation of cohabitation agreements.
For couples intending to marry I can also provide advice on pre nuptial agreements.
I also can assist clients on residence and contact disputes where arrangements for children cannot be agreed, following separation. Due to the international lifestyles of many clients I advise on applications to relocate.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
A law degree provides a good foundation for any career as you gain valuable and transferable skills. When studying family law, I realised I wanted a rewarding and stimulating career that involved daily contact with clients and to know each day would be different and present differing challenges.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I enjoy the variety of family law. No day or client is ever the same. My focus is to tailor my advice to suit each individual case and the needs of the client and their families. It is rewarding to know you have helped a client resolve a personal and emotional case in a dignified and professional manner, despite difficult and often acrimonious circumstances.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?

What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I have ran the Birmingham half marathon to raise funds for the firm's charity and hope to do so again in the forthcoming years. I am also a PADI certified open water diver and a keen baker of sweet treats.
