I am a solicitor based in the medical negligence team in London, predominately specialising in medical negligence claims on behalf of patients and their families. I also have experience in complex causation claims involving personal injury, typically arising from road traffic accidents with subsequent negligent medical treatment.
My diverse medical negligence practice includes cases involving, amongst other things:
- Spinal and orthopaedic injuries
- Delay in diagnosis of cancer
- Surgical errors
- Claims relating to diabetes
- Stroke claims
- Fatal claims
I also assist senior solicitors and partners with higher value claims.
What inspired you to get into law?
I initially qualified into commercial and corporate law in 2010 but found that I missed the contentious side of litigation and the satisfaction and reward that comes with helping my clients obtain compensation to allow them to rebuild their lives. After retraining at a leading litigation firm I gained invaluable experience running my own medical negligence case load for two years before joining Irwin Mitchell in 2016.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I take huge pride in representing injured parties and by extension, their families in claims for negligent medical treatment which has caused life changing injuries. I consider it a privilege to be able to practice an area of law which genuinely helps improve my clients’ lives.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Having experienced life at a number of firms, I feel truly at home at Irwin Mitchell and proud to be part of a team of highly technical and compassionate lawyers who share a commitment to go the extra mile to obtain the best result for their clients.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, writing and music.
