I joined Irwin Mitchell in December 2015 having previously worked for six years as a family solicitor at both a London and regional firm.
I specialise in acting for both husbands and wives, and non-married couples, in all areas of relationship breakdown, including substantial asset cases. I am also experienced in divorce and disputes relating to children, specifically those involving allegations of domestic violence or other abuse. Having worked in complex care proceedings, I also have significant knowledge about local authority involvement with children and families.
In addition, I represent and have a keen interest in cases where an application has been made by one parent for permission to relocate with a child, either internally within the UK or abroad. I have represented both parents wishing to take their children, and those wishing their children to stay.
I am a Resolution accredited specialist in matters of private child and complex finances.
“I had been going around in circles with a variety of solicitors for nearly five years, but this exercise ended once Donna took over my financial and child case. Professional and hard-working with a real sense of customer service, not afraid to give firm fair advice, not afraid to listen and take on board the client's concerns, anxieties and fears. I can highly recommend Donna Gibbons along with her team at Irwin Mitchell.”
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
Away from the office I enjoy running, windsurfing (in warmer climates), as well as trips to the ballet and theatre.
