Carole Nettleton

Senior Associate Solicitor

Biography

I am Senior Associate Solicitor specialising in Family Law work. I am based in our Manchester Office. I have specialised exclusively in Family Law since qualifying in 1996.

I deal with divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, and issues that arise between cohabiting parties. I assist clients mainly in dealing with the financial aspects of the breakdown of their relationship.

I have extensive experience of dealing with high net worth individuals involving complex pension issues, multiple businesses, confiscation proceedings and family trusts as well as assisting those cases with more modest assets.

Whatever assets are involved, all my cases are given my full attention and I am committed to achieving the best possible result for all my clients always adopting a robust but fair approach whether that involves settling matters at an early stage or during Court proceedings.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

I was inspired to get into law through a friend who is a family law barrister as I saw the real positive difference that a good family lawyer can make to people's lives.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

I genuinely find my work rewarding and the different I can make to people's lives in their financial situation or with arrangements to their children makes this job worthwhile.

My clients and I embark on a journey and it is my role to guide them through the legal complexities at what can be a very upsetting and stressful time.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

I have a very busy life with two children but I enjoy playing tennis, squash and avidly listening to Radio 4 when I have a spare moment.
