I am a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence team based in Irwin Mitchell’s Southampton office.
I first joined the firm in 2015 and started my training contract with Irwin Mitchell in 2018. I've had the opportunity to work in various departments across the firm before qualifying as a solicitor in 2020.
I work on a variety of medical negligence cases and I also help senior members of the team with complex and high value injury claims.
What inspired you to get into law?
Growing up, I always had a interest in the mechanics of the law, as my father worked in the police force. While studying law and criminology at University, I realised that I wanted the opportunity in my career to be able to make a lasting and positive impact on those who need my help the most.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Clients often come to us at an extremely vulnerable time in their life. Being able to support and guide clients through this often daunting and complex process, securing them much-need treatment and therapies to help improve the quality of their life after injury, is extremely rewarding.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I'm proud to work for a firm that is passionate about client care. I work with extremely talented and knowledgeable colleagues who, across the firm, have the expertise to be able to provide a full range of services, in order to achieve the best possible results for our clients.
What do you do away from the office?
Outside of work, living on the south coast means you will usually find me on the beach or out paddle boarding or kayaking (in the summer months!). I've also developed the travel bug so I try and travel as far and wide as I possibly can!
"We have received excellent service from Alice Webster of Irwin Mitchell and whilst the outcome of our claim was not what we were hoping we would have no hesitation in recommending Alice. She was extremely professional, diligent and kept us regularly informed throughout the process." - 5* Trustpilot review
