News That Military Engineers May Have Been Exposed To Deadly Material ‘Hugely Concerning’

The Ministry of Defence must work both swiftly and thoroughly to investigate concerns that Sea King helicopters contain asbestos, according to specialist lawyers who represent those affected by illnesses linked to the deadly material.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that investigations have now begun into claims that asbestos materials have been found in some of the helicopters, with the MoD also issuing advisory information to veterans on the matter.

The Mail on Sunday reported that while pilots were not believed to have been at risk, a huge number of military engineers could have been exposed to asbestos during their work.
