Campaign To Ensure Those Affected Have Same Opportunities As Everyone Else

Irwin Mitchell’s specialist medical negligence team is proud to support World Cerebral Palsy Day (Friday 6th October) to raise awareness of the campaign to ensure those affected have the same rights and opportunities as anyone else.

World Cerebral Palsy Day is a movement of people with cerebral palsy and their families, and the organisations that support them, in more than 60 countries. 

The aim of the awareness raising day is to ensure that children and adults with cerebral palsy (CP) have the same rights, access and opportunities as anyone else in our society. 

There are an estimated 30,000 children with cerebral palsy in the UK. It is usually caused by injuries during birth and leaves those affected with varying conditions that affect muscle control and movement. They may also have learning difficulties, epilepsy and communication difficulties.
