Dunstable Man Crushed By Vehicle At Leisure Park In Watford

The family of a man from Dunstable who died after he was dragged underneath a lorry in the course of his work three years ago hope that an upcoming inquest will provide important answers in relation to his death.

Peter Coleman died aged 54 on 11 October, 2014, after he became trapped underneath a refuse lorry which started to roll while he operated its tipper at Woodside Leisure Park in Watford. The lorry subsequently caught fire.

A jury inquest into the death of the father-of-two, who worked for waste management firm F & R Cawley Limited, is now due to take place at the Old Courthouse in Hatfield on 4 October, 2017, and is listed to run for two days.

Following Peter’s death, his family instructed specialist serious injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death and whether anything could have been done to prevent the incident.
