Irwin Mitchell Sheffield Presents Donation To Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice
Irwin Mitchell has presented a donation of over £26,000 to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, the law firm’s Sheffield office Charity of the Year for 2015.
Employees at Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office have supported the hospice throughout 2015, donating the proceeds of charitable activities, such as bake sales, dress down days and special events including taking part in a Total Warrior obstacle course challenge and a festive Santa dash, to the charity.
The money raised will go towards supporting the North Anston based children's hospice in providing care and support to children and young adults with a shortened life expectancy.
The hospice cares for children with a vast range of complex medical needs both in their own home and at the hospice; offering respite care, day care, community support, crisis intervention and end of life treatment.
The hospice supports children and families across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and North Lincolnshire throughout their life journey, creating special, lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
Irwin Mitchell’s Charity of the Year initiative is part of the work of the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation, an independent registered charity set up by the partners and employees of the national law firm. More than £1.25m has been donated to worthy causes since the Foundation was formed in 1997.
Paul Firth, Regional Managing partner at Irwin Mitchell, said:
