Expert Opinion
“We are delighted to work with charities to be able to deliver this service to the community in Rotherham. It’s a day not just about raising awareness of healthy issues, but also a chance to promote a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing.
“It can sometimes be difficult to come to terms with health problems and approach medical professionals for advice on general health and lifestyle. However this informal event will provide people with the opportunity to come along and learn more about what help and advice is available to them.”

Dawn Rose, at the Stroke Association in Rotherham said: “We’d encourage everyone to come along to The Community Hub and find out more about the risk factors for stroke.
“High blood pressure contributes to around half of all strokes, so we’ll be providing free checks on the day. Getting tested is simple; blood pressure tests are quick and painless. We hope to see lots of people on Thursday, when they can learn about how to help prevent stroke.”
