Ten Students To Be Awarded Irwin Mitchell Employability Award
Students with a disability studying at the University of Hull are now able to apply for a bursary of up to £500 after an employability award was set up by the university and Leeds-based law firm Irwin Mitchell.
The Irwin Mitchell employability award 2016 will be awarded to ten students who are able to show how undertaking a specific activity can make a positive contribution to their employment opportunities in the future.
Each of the ten awards is worth £500 and can be used by students with a disability to cover the costs of attending events, workshops, conferences and travel to those events that will help them develop skills they can use in employment once they have graduated,
All applicants will need to complete a short application form where they will be required to outline the benefits of attending the events and a breakdown of costs.
Sarah Coles, a Partner and expert medical negligence lawyer at Irwin Mitchell, said:
