Expert Serious Injury Lawyers Issue Court Proceedings Following Collision
A West Hendon man has spoken out about the ‘terrible ordeal’ he suffered after being involved in car crash that left him with facial injuries and requiring extensive dental treatment.
The 45-year-old, from West Hendon, London, suffered injuries to his neck, back, abdomen and serious dental problems when his vehicle was hit by another car in a road traffic accident on Kenton Road, Middlesex in February 2012.
He instructed specialist serious injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to help him secure compensation in order to access on-going physiotherapy and rehabilitation for his injuries and funds that will enable him to receive the dental treatment he now requires.
His legal team have now issue court proceedings against the insurers of the other driver involved in the collision after they denied liability for the crash.
He was unable to avoid the collision when the car swerved into his path pushing his car into a traffic island in the middle of the road. He continues to suffer with dental pain more than three years after the accident and will require dental implants in order to reduce the pain
As well as the physical injuries he also suffered a psychological impact as he would often have flashbacks of the accident and lost his confidence when driving. He was also constantly afraid of being involved in another collision and felt self-conscious due to the damage caused to his teeth in the accident.
Elizabeth Whitehead, an expert serious injury lawyer at Irwin Mitchell, representing him, said:
Expert Opinion
“Our client has suffered a great deal of both physical and psychological problems since he was involved in this accident and he is still waiting to have dental treatment that will hopefully alleviate the pain he is in on a constant basis.
“We have now issued court proceedings in this case and are determined to secure the funds he needs to access the best possible rehabilitation for his injuries, as well as covering the costs of the future dental treatment he requires.” Liz Whitehead - Team Leader & Senior Associate
The 45-year-old from West Hendon said: “This accident has completely changed my life and I’m now in constant pain due to the dental problems that developed when I hit my head during the crash.
“I still need regular treatment from a physiotherapist for the injuries I suffered and I’m hoping by taking legal action I will be able to access funds that will allow me to continue my road to recovery and allow me to put this terrible ordeal behind me.”
