Lincoln Dog Attack Leaves Woman Seriously Injured

Police Arrest 33-Year-Old Man In Connection With Incident


A 22-year-old woman is in hospital with in Lincoln with serious injuries following a dog attack in a quarry in the city on Sunday night (March 9th).

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that armed police and a helicopter were used as part of the search to locate the animal, believed to be an American pitbull, while residents living nearby were urged to stay indoors during the operation.

The dog has now been located and moved to secure kennels, while a 33-year-old local man has been arrested in connection to the incident. Police have said he will be interviewed and tests are being carried out to confirm the breed.

A statement from officers added that the victim’s injuries were described as “devastating” and she is set to have surgery at Lincoln County Hospital today.
