Chancellor Reveals Financial Support For Health Service
Extra funding is to be made available to support the NHS, the Government has confirmed in its Autumn Statement this week.
Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne formally unveiled the plans in his announcement to the House of Commons yesterday (December 4th), with the plans meaning that the health service will receive an extra £2 billion annually until 2020.
In his statement, Mr Osborne stated that the move could be made as a result of “careful management”.
He added: “We can afford to put part of that underspend money into our National Health Service to cope with the pressures it faces.”
