West Lothian Bus Crash Leaves Fourteen Injured

Two Seriously Injured In Incident At Kirkliston


Two people have been seriously injured and 12 others also hurt following a road traffic collision in West Lothian involving a bus and car yesterday night (August 13th).

Reports have confirmed the incident took place after 10pm on the B9080 route between Kirkliston and Winchburgh.

The Scottish Fire And Rescue Service said crews from South Queensferry, Sighthill and Broxburn were called to the scene, where the male driver and male passenger in the car had to be cut free from the vehicle. Both were taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment. Another male passenger who released himself from the vehicle was taken to Forth Valley Hospital.

The male driver of the bus also had to be cut free, with three bus passengers also being taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary along with another seven who needed precautionary checks.

The road was closed as investigations continued into the crash.
