Employees in the Clinical Negligence team at leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell have organised a Santa Trail, visiting four South West charities to deliver gifts to children and disabled adults and spread some festive cheer.
Father Christmas and his trusty elves landed their sleigh at their first stop, Cerebral Palsy Plus, on Tuesday 9th December. They delivered a sack full of presents to adults supported by the Bristol-based charity, which provides free-of-charge services to support children and adults with cerebral palsy so they can live as independently as possible.
After a short pit-stop back in the North Pole, The Irwin Mitchell Elves joined Santas on the Run on Sunday 14th December to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.
The Irwin Mitchell Elves were stationed in Santa’s grotto at the event, helping to give out presents to children and raising over £1,200 for the charity in addition to sponsoring a festive ice skating trip to remember for the siblings of the children with life limiting conditions who are supported by the hospice.
Other members of the team donned their Santa suits to take part in the Hospice’s annual Santa Run which helps the charity raise vital funds to support families with children who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Presents have also been donated to the children at Brainwave a charity which aims to improve the lives of children with physical, sensory, learning, cognitive and behavioural difficulties.
The whole Bristol office then joined in the festive fun for a day of Christmas Jumpers and cake sale to raise money for BRACE which funds research into Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
