Chief Executive Praises Both Business and Personal Legal Services Staff For Strong Performance in 2013 Rankings
Irwin Mitchell’s Group Chief Executive is proud that the firm has continued to improve its rankings in the Independent Legal 500 UK guide.
The firm, which recently reported annual income in excess of £200m for the first time, has been named as a top tier firm in 23 practice areas and is recommended in a total of 80 practice areas covering legal advice to both consumers and businesses – an increase on the previous year.
Seventeen lawyers at the firm are listed in the elite "Leading lawyers" list, highlighting the most outstanding lawyers nationwide while the number of lawyers from across the country that are recommended in the guide has increased to 112.
The Business Legal Services division continued its impressive growth with improved rankings for 11 teams and in total posted 35 top 3 rankings. Irwin Mitchell was also nominated for an award for its personal injury work in the North, West Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber and the results in the guide cement its position as the market leading provider of Personal Legal Services with improvements in 10 areas of law.

Irwin Mitchell has undergone an extensive senior recruitment drive in recent years. Since the start of 2012, 16 new partners have joined the business teams as well as three family law Partners. The firm also promoted a record number of lawyers and non-lawyers to the partnership in May 2013.
