Deal Set To Lead To Construction Of New Warehouse
National law firm, Irwin Mitchell’s Real Estate team has advised key client Gazeley UK Limited on another transaction at Magna Park, Milton Keynes, with John Lewis plc. Gazeley is to construct a “build to suit” warehouse of approximately 675,000 square feet for the retailer.
This will be connected to John Lewis’s existing distribution facility at the site which Gazeley also constructed for them in 2007.
The building will be constructed using Gazeley’s G Track fast delivery programme and completion is expected in early 2014 when John Lewis will take a lease of the building.
The Irwin Mitchell real estate team was led by Louise Cartwright with David Parton and Vanessa Greaves on the Construction side. John Condliffe of Hogan Lovells acted for John Lewis.
Magna Park, Milton Keynes is Gazeley’s flagship UK distribution and logistics park and this deal follows the development of a warehouse for soft drinks manufacturer AG Barr plc last year which the Irwin Mitchell team also advised upon.
Louise Cartwright, of Irwin Mitchell, said: "We are delighted to have acted for Gazeley on another development at Magna Park and look forward to the successful completion of the unit for John Lewis which will complement their existing facility at the site."
