Family Hope Inquest Will Provide Answers

An inquest is to be held into the deaths of a dairy herdsmen and tractor driver who died in a slurry accident in July 2011.

Paul Gray, 48, and his colleague, 27-year-old Craig Whipps, died after gallons of slurry escaped from a tank at Albyns Farm in Stapleford Tawney near Romford, Essex, causing toxic fumes to be released into the air.

An inquest into their deaths will be heard at Chelmsford Coroner’s Court on 4 and 5 March.

Keith Barrett a lawyer at Irwin Mitchell, who specialises in helping families who have lost loved ones in accidents at work, is representing the Gray family. He said: “The Gray family have been left devastated by the loss of Paul and they hope the inquest will provide answers about the circumstances that led to his death.”

Mr Gray left behind a wife and three daughters.
