Inquest For Annie Brennan Begins

An inquest is to be heard into the death of a 49 year old woman who died after she was knocked down and trapped beneath a reversing forklift truck in the warehouse where she worked.

Ann Brennan (known as Annie) died of multiple injuries after the incident on 12 December 2011 at the Booker Ltd cash and carry warehouse in Bristol, where she had worked as a Branch Assistant for nearly 20 years.

An inquest into her death will begin at 10am on 25 March at the Bristol Coroner's Court at Flax Bourton heard by a jury and is expected to last three days.

Anusheh Ahmadi, an expert serious injury lawyer at Irwin Mitchell’s Bristol office is representing Annie’s devastated family. She said: “The Brennan family have been left devastated by the loss of Annie and they hope the inquest will provide answers about the circumstances that led to her death and that steps have been taken to ensure that an incident like this doesn’t happen again.”

Annie cared for her disabled father and also left behind two sisters, two young nieces and a nephew along with three great nephews.
