Preston Boy Died After Being Rushed To Hospital By Ambulance

An inquest into the death of an 10-year-old boy who was rushed to hospital in Preston following an asthma attack is due to begin tomorrow (1 October).

Chronic asthma sufferer Harrison (Harry) Cuming from Croston, Preston, died on 15 October at Royal Preston Hospital after being rushed there by ambulance following an asthma attack at home. He had spent four days in hospital following earlier problems with a tight chest but had been discharged four days before he died.

An inquest will be heard by Deputy Coroner, Simon Jones, at 11am at Preston Coroners Court on 1st October 2013 and is listed for 2 days. It will investigate the emergency treatment provided to Harry on the day of his death.

They have some concerns and questions about the events leading up to his death and hope the inquest will provide them with the answers they need to be able to come to terms with the tragic loss of their son.”
