Partners Named As First In Birmingham To Receive APIL Accreditation

Three Irwin Mitchell Partners are celebrating after being accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) to their specialist standard for Brain Injury – the only lawyers to receive such recognition in Birmingham.

Philip Edwards, Stephen Nye and Hilary Wetherell, serious injury experts at Irwin Mitchell’s office on Temple Street in the city centre, have all been recognised for their dedication to helping those who have suffered life-changing brain injuries.

APIL accreditation provides a quality mark of competence and specialist expertise for solicitors and barristers dealing with personal injury claims which helps those looking for legal help to recognise expertise within the profession.

To become accredited the three from Irwin Mitchell, who are all long-standing members and supporters of APIL, had to demonstrate significant experience in the field of brain injury work through case related work, external teaching to lawyers and other professionals in the brain injury field and through any publications they have produced.

The award also links closely with the work the three Partners do in supporting local charities and support groups who campaign on health and safety issues or who provided much needed services to the victims of brain injury.
