Local Lawyers Welcome Government’s Announcement
Sheffield-based business experts at national law firm Irwin Mitchell have described the government’s announcement that its Business Bank is to be based in Sheffield as “an important development” and a great boost for the city economy.
Deputy prime minister Nick Clegg, who is an MP in the city, confirmed the plans. It was also revealed that an extra £250 million of support will be available through the scheme to help the growth of small and medium-sized businesses, and drive forward the economic recovery.
The news has come ahead of the Autumn Statement by chancellor George Osborne which is also expected to include proposals to reduce business rates.
Today’s announcement has been welcomed by Irwin Mitchell, who provide commercial advice and assistance to a wide variety of commercial organisations including a focused product for the small business community.
