One-Day Hearing To Take Place Next Week
An inquest is due to take place on Tuesday 5th July to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 48 year old Black Country woman.
Caryl Ann Hinton, (also known as Caryl Ann Thompson) from Wolverhampton, collapsed at home on 13th June 2010, 16 days after being sent home from New Cross Hospital. She was rushed back to New Cross Hospital but died later that day.
HM Coroner for Wolverhampton, Mr R J Allen will hold the inquest, listed as a one-day hearing, at the Coroner’s Court in Wolverhampton, starting at 11am.
Jennifer Emerson, a medical law expert with Irwin Mitchell solicitors in Birmingham, who is representing Ms Hinton’s family, said: “Caryl’s family have found it extremely hard to come to terms with what happened and very much hope that the inquest will shed light on the circumstances which led to her death.”
Ms Hinton leaves behind her partner, three sons, one daughter, and a grandchild.
