Hearing To Take Place Tomorrow
An inquest is due to take place on Wednesday 20th July to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 68 year old former civil engineer.
Barry Harris, from Burntwood, in Staffordshire, died at home on 23rd October 2010, three days after being discharged from Burton Hospital following knee replacement surgery.
HM Coroner for Staffordshire, Louise McCabe will hold the inquest, listed as an hour and a quarter hearing, at the Coroner’s Court at the Town Hall in Burton Upon Trent, starting at 10.30am.
Laura Daly from Irwin Mitchell solicitors in Birmingham, who is representing Mr Harris’ family, said: “Barry’s family have found it extremely hard to come to terms with what happened and very much hope that the inquest will shed light on the circumstances which led to his death.”
Mr Harris leaves behind his wife, Valerie, three sons, Mark, Steven and Carl and his grandson, Austin.
