Expert Calls For Answers Over Serious Collision
Police in Surrey have confirmed that five people were injured in a coach crash on the A322 last week (July 14th).
The road traffic collision at a junction in Bagshot involved a coach carrying secondary schoolchildren from Working and three vans.
One school pupil suffered arm and head injuries in the incident, while the drivers of the coach and two vans were also hurt. In addition, a passenger in one of the vans suffered minor injuries.
Emergency services attended the scene and all of the injured parties were taken to Frimley Park Hospital for treatment.
Keith Barrett, an expert at Irwin Mitchell who specialises in helping those who have been seriously injured in road traffic collisions, said: “It is incredibly important that police work thoroughly to discover how this incident came to occur and how it could have been prevented.
“Through our work we have seen how devastating road traffic collisions can be for those involved, often leaving people with serious life-changing injuries which they never fully recover from.
“Like in the cases we are involved in, we would urge authorities to consider all avenues to determine whether any lessons can be learnt from this case which will provide road users with more protection and ultimately prevent the same problems from occurring in the future.”
