New Appointment To Build On Department's Recent Growth
Leading law firm Irwin Mitchell has appointed Kerry Smith as a solicitor in its Commercial, Charities and Public Sector Team in the Sheffield office.
Kerry joins Irwin Mitchell from HLW Keeble Hawson and will advise on charity formations, public procurement, public sector grants and commercial contracts for regional and national clients.
Kerry will work with the team’s Partner, Laurence Gavin, who was recently appointed as a Vice President for Autism Plus’ Future Plus Appeal.
Kerry said: “I’m delighted to be joining Irwin Mitchell which has such a strong reputation for getting results. I’m proud to be joining a team which is recognised for its achievements in this year’s Legal 500.
Laurence added: “We’re pleased to welcome Kerry into our team, and hope to build on our successes in 2011 to grow further in 2012.
“Our team advises clients across regulated sectors, particularly charities, public sector bodies, sports industry companies and FSA-authorised firms, on a range of commercial and compliance matters.
“These are affected by new funding regimes and constant regulatory updates, so it is vital that our team is as sharp as ever.”
