Guildford - London Train Hit By Falling Cement Mixer
Lawyers have called for an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding an incident in which a cement mixer lorry fell on a train, injuring several people.
Reports say that there were no fatalities as a result of the shocking incident, which happened just after 15:00, but a number of people did sustain injuries including the lorry driver.
The lorry, which landed on the South West Trains Guildford to London Waterloo service, just outside Oxshott, is believed to have struck the fourth carriage, punching a hole in the metal roof.
Gary Walker, a lawyer from Irwin Mitchell’s specialist group actions team said: “We have dealt with a number of clients whose lives have been turned upside down following tragic incidents whilst travelling on trains.
“We hope that a thorough investigation into how the incident came to pass, and ultimately ensure that all lessons that can be learnt are learnt to prevent further injury.
“Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected at this time.”
