Man Suffers Burn At Work

A fire at Ledbury Community Hospital has left a maintenance worker with serious injuries.
Ambulance staff said that at about 1130 BST on Tuesday an aerosol canister caught fire and injured the man who was carrying out repairs at the Herefordshire hospital.
The man in his 60s was given pain relief after suffering serious burns to his face, hands, head, arms and legs.
The man was then taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Birmingham where his condition is described as serious.

David Urpeth from law firm Irwin Mitchell said: “This was an extremely serious work accident. Whilst the circumstances of this accident at work are not known, clearly something has gone seriously wrong.”
