Motorcyclist in Critical Condition
Police in Worcestershire have arrested a 21-year-old driver after a crash left a motorcyclist in critical condition.
The driver was arrested following the collision on Hartlebury Road in Stourport-on-Severn. He was held on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs, police said.
The Halesowen man was driving a Vauxhall Corsa which was involved in a collision with a yellow Suzuki motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old man, suffered serious head and chest injuries. He was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital's Major Trauma Unit in Birmingham where a hospital spokesperson said he was in a stable but critical condition.
West Midlands Ambulance service received a number of emergency calls and an ambulance, an Incident support officer, a BASICS Doctor and the County Air Ambulance from Cosford were dispatched to the scene.
No other person was injured in the collision.
