Hotel illness announcement
An outbreak of illness is reported for guests who have holidayed at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Reports suggest that large numbers of guests have experienced symptoms of gastric illness after guests became ill with suspected food poisoning resulting in gastric illness including symptoms of diarrhoea.
It is alleged that the outbreak which occurred in May/June 2008 may be caused by food consumed by guests whilst staying at this hotel.
Complaints include food being of a poor standard and that hygiene standards at the hotel were not of the expected level for a hotel of this rating.
Irwin Mitchell urges anyone affected by the above incident to contact them.
