Accident at work
Firefighters were called to assist two maintenance workers who fell ill after being overcome by fumes in a disused railway tunnel, it has been reported.
The incident happened at the Harecastle Tunnel in Kidsgrove, Staffordshire, the BBC said.
Emergency crews were called just after 11am on Tuesday and helped to reach two of the workers in the tunnel. Two other workers escaped and did not appear to have been affected by the fumes.
The BBC reported that one man, thought to be in his 20s, was taken to hospital for further treatment.
