Walsall bus crash
A 61-year-old man has been arrested for causing death by dangerous driving after a crash at a bus station in Walsall on the 9th July. A single-decker Arriva bus collided with a double-decker and three other cars.
A 66-year-old woman pedestrian died in hospital after the incident in the town centre. A 59-year-old woman remains in a stable and comfortable condition in hospital. Six people, including the woman who died, were taken to hospital after the incident. It is thought an Arriva bus went the wrong way down a one-way street.
The driver of the single decker Arriva, is also thought to have been hurt. A West Midlands Ambulance spokesman said as well as the woman who was airlifted to hospital, another two women also received leg injuries and three men in their 40s suffered minor injuries. Another person was treated for shock.
